Which instruments do you rent?
We rent band and orchestra instruments only. Please visit our rental page to see a full list.
Can anyone rent an instrument?
You must be 18 years or older to rent an instrument at Eastside. Our instruments are also rented on approved credit which means having established credit history may be helpful in getting an instrument hassle-free.
What do I need to bring with me to start a rental?
All new rental contracts require the renter to bring their ID/driver’s license reflecting current residential address and debit or credit card for autopay purposes. If your ID does not show your current address, we require you to bring 1 document from an official source that verifies it (ex. utility bill, insurance, etc.) Electronic utility bills are acceptable.
I do not want my credit checked. Can I still rent?
If you have recent rental history with us, we will not require an additional credit check to rent many of our student instruments. If you are renting a higher valued instrument, we may ask for a security deposit that is fully refundable upon return of the instrument.
Which instrument brands do you rent?
The majority of our instrument rentals are Yamaha or Conn-Selmer brands. We also rent Jupiter, Getzen and Gemeinhardt instruments. We are band instrument people and we know how frustrating it is to have an instrument that doesn’t function properly. For this reason, we stick to brands that are reliable and meet performance expectations of local educators.
Do you do rent-to-own?
Technically, no. We offer a rent rewards program where you can build 26 months of your rental payments (not including maintenance fees) as credit toward owning your instrument. After you’ve reached 26 months, your rent credit remains on your account so long as you don’t return your instrument BUT it does not gain any further. Your account will continue as a standard rental from that point but your credit will be available should you choose to pay off the balance. You may also inquire about our step-up program.
Can I move my rent credit to another instrument?
No. Your rent credit can only be used for the instrument you are renting or a step-up of the same type.
How do I end my rental?
To close your rental account, you must return the instrument undamaged to the store with all of its components. You will receive a receipt which confirms your return after which point you will not be charged any more rent. PLEASE DO NOT leave the instrument at the school at the end of the school year.
