A salesman will greet customers who walk into our store and answer phone calls on a regular basis. We are looking for someone who has a friendly personality and positive customer service skills. You must have a basic or better understanding of common band & orchestra instruments. You must also have a basic understanding of other items we sell such as guitars, keyboards, percussion, electronics, etc. While you will receive training on the job specific to our store, having previous knowledge will be useful to this position.
On time, prompt, diligent. No flakiness or no-shows please! This implies having reliable transportation to and from work.
Willing to engage with parents and their children/students to accommodate their needs for band and orchestra class.
Willingness to learn how to write contracts for rentals.
Basic cash handling skills for clerking customer purchases.
Understanding of Point-of-Sale software (we use AIMSi).
Re-string and setup skills on guitar are highly desired.

Position 2 - Showroom Salesman / Part-time School Pickup and Deliver
A salesman will greet customers who walk into our store and answer phone calls on a regular basis. Please see above for further description.
As a part-time school pickup and delivery staff, you will be on call to provide transportation of repaired instruments & accessories between our store and various local schools as needed. This involves handling of basic invoicing and paperwork used in billing and also involves maintaining direct communication with local teachers to ensure their needs are met in a timely manner.
